History of ZKS Ferrum

Ferrum Welded Structure Company dates back to 1874 when Ferrum Mill came into being.

Since the beginning of Ferrum Mill, germs of construction department were formed which at first manufactured elements of bridge structures as well as iron and metal products. Besides pipes for hydroelectric power stations, the export hit of the previous age beginning, the Company manufactured containers, tanks, complete rotary furnaces and cement plant mills, heat boilers and boiler drums.
The starting point of Welded Construction Company as an independent entity dates back to 1st January 2002 when the welded construction department was separated from the Ferrum Mill. Since then the WSC has been flourishing and successfully integrated into the period of highest economic growth in Poland.

Due to the Company effective and successful management, changes’ dynamics was observed. While operating o­n the market since 2002, WSC has still been changing its image and has become a state-of-the-art company with over 100-year tradition. Current stock of machine tools is highly recognised not o­nly at home but also overseas proven by numerous international contacts.

Transformation of the Company form of property from limited liability company into public limited company in 2008 has been another proof of permanent changes in the Company.

The Company implemented EN ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System certified by TÜV Nord Cert GmbH and possesses numerous certificates received from: UDT, TÜV NORD, TÜV RHEINLAND, SLV, Lloyd’s Register.
